They can assist in booking and reserving your rooms, securing your transportation along with any excursions or tours you might want to experience. Porto and The Douro Region is a *HOT* destination with travelers and September is their high season due to good weather and it being their harvest season.
RSVP to attend the vow renewal ceremony is MARCH 31, 2025.
For ease of planning and organization, we request that all items (flights, hotel, transfers, tours, insurance) in your travels be paid in full by June 2, 2025 so that JP and Joanna can coordinate the times accordingly with all the vendors involved.

Behnam, Liam, Kian and I have made the following arrangements. You are free to ask JP and Joanna to have the same itinerary. We would love for you to book your hotel stay at Vila Gale Douro Vineyards as we are hosting our vow renewal festivities there, but you are more than welcome to look at other accommodation options in the area.

1st September: Wine Cellar Tour, Lunch and Boat ride - group activity
3rd September to 5th September Stay: Vila Gale Douro Vineyards.
4th September: Vow Renewal at Vila Gale Douro Vineyards. Event starts at 3pm.
It is approximately a 20 minute drive from OPO (Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport) to Vincci Ponte de Ferro Hotel.
It is approximately 1hr40 minute drive from Vincci Ponte de Ferro Hotel to Hotel Vila Gale Douro Vineyards.

And then enjoy an amazing 360º degree panoramic view of Porto and the Douro river, its bridges, and the amazing view of Gaia with its wine cellars on a boat ride.

Why do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance can reimburse you for your pre-paid travel costs — including vacation rentals, car rentals, hotels, and flights — if you have to cancel for a covered reason. It can reimburse you for eligible meals, accommodation, and transportation expenses during a covered flight delay. It can reimburse you for care following a covered medical emergency while traveling. Are your documents up to date for your travels?
Your passport must be valid 6 months from return date.
Non-negotiable: Every guest must have a valid passport. You will need this to board your flight and the resort will ask for it when you check-in. If you do not have a passport or need to renew it, refer to the link below.
Note: Due to Covid, processing time has increased, causing delays in passports. If you will be attending the event and need a first-time passport OR need to renew your passport, please do this early. Routine processing time is about 10-12 weeks.
Expedited Services: 4-6 weeks.
Please also check the expiration date on your current passport. It must be valid for 6 months from your return date.
NOTE: International Travel sometimes requires a VISA to enter/exit a country. It is your responsibility to confirm if the destination is requiring you to have a VISA, attain it, and bring the document with your valid passport.

We recommend that you book your flights as early as you can. Consider using miles or credit card points if you have them.

Check if you need a UK Visa
International Travel sometimes requires a VISA to enter/exit a country. It is your responsibility to confirm if the destination is requiring you to have a VISA, attain it, and bring the document with your valid passport.
FOR GUESTS TRAVELLING WITH A CANADIAN PASSPORT:
You may need an ETA for United Kingdom if you have a Canadian passport.
Electronic travel authorization may be required for Transit
Travelers transiting through the United Kingdom who will not pass through border control (‘airside’ transit) do not require an ETA. Travelers required to pass through border control, such as when traveling on separate tickets or transferring between airports, must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to transit through the United Kingdom. Check the link below for more details on transit exemptions.
Travelers can submit an ETA application online. Once the application is approved, travelers receive their ETA confirmation electronically.
An eTA is electronically linked to a passport and valid for up to 2 years for multiple entries. If travelers receive a new passport, they must apply for a new eTA.

USING A CREDIT CARD?
Most credit cards have charge limits. Keep in mind exchange rates, foreign transaction fees, service fees and merchant fees.
Please confirm the charge limit with your bank prior to submitting a large credit card payment. If you attempt to charge over your limit, your card will be declined.
DOES YOUR PASSPORT EXPIRE WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF YOUR TRAVEL DATE?
A passport is required for international travel, including for children & babies. Many countries require that passports be valid for six months AFTER RETURN DATE OF TRAVEL. If you have additional questions, please contact me.
ARE YOU PREGNANT OR PLANNING TO BECOME PREGNANT?
Pregnancy Restrictions: Some trips have restrictions for pregnant travelers. For example, cruise lines will not board a passenger after her 24th week of pregnancy. Ask me for more details
Travel Insurance and Pregnancy: Please read the coverage info carefully. In many policies, pregnancy is considered a pre-existing condition and is not a covered cancellation reason. In this case, you may want to consider "Cancel for Any Reason" coverage, an optional upgrade.
